As a parent you want the best for your child. And as teachers, so do we.
We are a kindergarten through 8th-grade Christian school in Middletown, California and the only Christian school between Angwin and Clearlake. We believe that kids learn best when Christ is at the center of all we do (“Seek first the kingdom of God… and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6.33) and the Bible is our foundation (“For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6).
Your child can benefit from our proven track record of graduating students who succeed in high school, college and beyond –– as students, leaders, professionals and members in their communities.

Admission policy:
We accept students of all races, ethnicities and faith backgrounds. As a Protestant Christian, Seventh-day Adventist school we hold to the values and beliefs of the Adventist church. But we do not expect nor require our families to share those beliefs. We do ask that all families and students are supportive of the traditional Christian values we teach and expect from our school community.
Read below for how our focus builds great community members for now and for the future.
Our parents say it best:
Elvis and Jocelyn CookOur daughter is in the 6th grade at Middletown Adventist School and has been there two years. We love the nurturing and warm environment and community that the school provides.
The school offers a strong, faith-based curriculum, but what I think is so important is that parents and teachers work as a team in the education and development of our children. I highly recommend Middletown Adventist School and know that your family will be as happy as we have been.”

Christ Centered
It’s pretty easy to track things like academic progress or physical health—but when it comes to spiritual growth, that’s not so simple. Still, it’s the heart of everything we do. It all starts with…
Learning Driven
Students in Adventist schools do better—and it shows. A massive three-year study of over 51,000 students (from kindergarten through high school) found that kids in Adventist schools consistently score above the national average. This held true across all…

Character Focused
We believe a child’s connection to Jesus is foundational as they allow the Holy Spirit to shape them into Christians of character. However, we can help that process by giving students tools and resources for growing in: integrity, responsibility, perseverance, resilience, and service to others. In addition…
Qualified and Caring Staff
Our teachers are hired for their teaching expertise as well as their enthusiasm for sharing Christ with students. They hold bachelors’ degrees in education and are fully credentialed or certificated for teaching in elementary school. Our non-teaching staff are screened and background-checked before…

Advantages of Multi-grade Classrooms
Multi-grade classrooms have many benefits for students, even though they are not common. This environment provides students with the opportunity to learn at their own pace across various subject areas, without the…
Traditional Christian Values
Are you happy with what your child is learning in school? As a Protestant Christian school we choose to focus on loving everyone while growing together to be more and more like Jesus. While we are committed to teaching all the academic standards that students need to know at each grade level, we are not bound by state and federal mandates…

A Fun, Safe Place to Learn
Our students love coming to school because so much fun stuff is happening here. Off-campus learning –– We learn outside the classroom regularly with trips like: sports camp, snow skiing, the Exploratorium, an elementary school music festival, Sutter’s Fort, caroling, music concerts, the…
Music Education
Research has documented that music education helps students with learning in other subjects, especially math. For this reason, and because it is one of God’s gifts, we offer a strong music program. Our students participate…

Daily PE
Research also tells us that moving bodies make for brains that are better able to absorb and remember information. Although it is not common in other schools, we choose to have PE every day because…
A Community and Place to Belong
Our students and parents tell us how much they appreciate that our school is a safe and supportive community. We come together for events, our supporting church members become stand-in grandparents, our parents get…
